Céret is renowned as the premier cherry growing area in France and for its cherry festival, normally held at the end of May or beginning of June. This is followed by the Feria "Céret de Toros" in early July in which bulls are run through the streets by skilled horsemen then in the evenings the town gets into party mode and the streets fill with music of all kinds and dancing till dawn. An experience you will never forget.
