| Come off the auto route A9 'La Catalane' at the last exit in France, or the first exit in France if you are driving from Spain, at Le Boulou. Turn right at the roundabout onto the D115to Céret.
It takes about 15 mins to Céret; follow the signs until you reach Céret. |

| After crossing the bridge into Céret , follow the Centre Ville signs turning left at the first and second roundabouts. Continue along Av. Déodat de Séverac until the last turning before the third roundabout at the rue de la Fountaine d'amour. |

| This will take you past the Parking on your left and the Sapeurs Pompiers . Continue up the road until you reach a T junction. Turn left to the Parking Les Tins . When you see the car park take a RIGHT fork and follow the white sign to Fontfrède and Las Illas until you reach another junction. Turn SHARP RIGHT following signs to Fontfrède and Las Illas. |

| Continue up the winding Route de Fontfrède for about 1.6 kms following the signs to Fontfrède and La Terrasse au Soleil until you see a large blue roadside sign for La Châtaigneraie with a picture of the house on it. You will see the house, with 6 arches, up on the hill in front of you. The entrance is on the left approximately 300 metres past La Terrasse au Soleil. |
